Peter had a busy day today. He helped Ben fix holes in the wall, poured his own punch, did some laundry, and washed some dishes.
Fixing the holes wasn't so bad, he had Ben's help and supervision and things went pretty well. It was exciting to pull the items out of the wall and rediscover treasure that he had placed there for safe keeping. Later, Peter found a full pitcher of red punch just waiting for a thirsty boy. He tried unsuccessfully to pour himself a cup and spilled punch all over the table, chair and floor. Undaunted, Peter commenced to clean up the spill with the broom. (This is when Dad learned that the person who makes punch puts it into the fridge OR ELSE!) Pete now needed some cleaner clothes, so he headed to the laundry room. He discovered that both washing machine and dryer were running, so he added some laundry to the dryer and attempted to do something with a lot of laundry detergent, pouring laundry soap all over himself. Now Peter went back to the kitchen to wash himself off. That is when he was distracted by the dish soap and decided to wash the dishes. Reaching up to turn the water on put his head and back right under the faucet, soaking him when the water came out. Exhausted by his day of hard work, Pete put his jammies on and fell asleep on the family room floor.
Some of his other activities were sticking peanuts in the spout of the water jug, painting the top of the cooler, tormenting Polly, and loving Hannah.
The moral of this story is: Parents of a three year old should NOT try to shower, take a bathroom break, or attempt to do chores without maintaining strict supervision of the three year old!

Ouch! And that was just one day?! Where were your kid lookouts???
Tash, that is not just one day, that is just taking a shower brake, bathroom time and so on. Wow Niesh, that was a day full of experiences for him and surprises for you as parents.
And you seem so calm talking about it all. You've got to be just a little crazy! But how boring would this life be without a few crazy women. Weehaw!
Can you blog some of those wonderful scenes!
What a busy kid. I wish that I had the energy to do just half the stuff that kid did!!!!
I have a friend that used to follow her son around all day and do what he did, it was a great exercise routine she said :)
oh Neisha! It reminds me too well when Andy was three. And sometimes even while he's seven! My (almost)three year old is a little less busy than yours I think, thank goodness.
